I love this marinade and don't often even measure... you know by the smell that it is just right! In this incarnation, I am marinading some blade steaks from Withrow's Meat Market - amazing! I cannot say enough stuff about how amazing this place is... I will be writing a rave very soon! This marinade is gingery and full of garlic punch.... scale back if you wish to not kill the vamps in your area!
Makes enough for 4 good sized steaks... I have them resting in a dish -- a ziploc works better. You can actually freeze fresh meat in this marinade for easier and quicker start up as it should rest for about 8 hours...
3/4 cup sunflower oil -- also have used olive oil... but it is not as heat resistant when grilling the steaks... 1/4 cup Bragg's seasoning 1/4 cup agave syrup (have also used brown sugar with great success) 3 Tbsp Apple Cider Vinegar... I use Boates 2 - 6 cloves of garlic crushed 2 Tbsp of powdered ginger (4 of fresh) 2 tsp of Chinese 5 spice powder
