I do love my flavoured coffees but cannot tolerate the edible oil product creamers on the market - so a bit of research and Van Houte to the rescue!  This recipe is based on their found here:  DIY Coffee Creamer!

I love their version but here is my redo!  You decide which you like better!

DIY Coffee Creamer

  • —  2 cup  milk
  • —  2 cup 18% cream
  • —  2 tablespoons  agave syrup
  •   5 tablespoons coconut sugar
  •   One capful of a lorianne concentrated oil (I used butter rum) 
  • —  1 tablespoon  vanilla extract
  •    1/8 tsp xantham gum (thickens it slightly)


  1. Combine all the ingredients in a saucepan and whisk.
  2. Bring the mixture to steaming.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in the extracts
  4. Place in an airtight container or jar and let cool
  5. Store the mixture in your refrigerator for up to 7 days. Add a tablespoon or two to your coffee.
